SCORING SUMMARY
- Freshman Evan Giordano (Sewell, N.J.) recorded his first collegiate RBI with a single to right in the second inning, scoring junior Chris Hamilton (Schenectady, N.Y.) to make it 1-0 Stony Brook.
- The Lions scored three of their four runs with one swing in the fourth, a three-run blast to right field that gave Southeastern the lead.
- Stony Brook made its big charge in the fifth, scoring five in the frame. Sophomore John Tuccillo (Clinton Corners, N.Y.) was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, cutting the Lions lead in half.
- Then, down on an 0-2 count, Wilson turned on a pitch and let it fly over the right-center field wall, making a one-run deficit a three-run advantage.
- The teams traded RBI hits in back to back frames, with an RBI double in the seventh by SLU and a Janofsky RBI single in the eighth canceling each other out to keep the final margin at three.
