Brandon Alamo (Artesia, Calif.) eached chipped in a pair of hits to aid the offensive cause.

- The first inning of action saw the game's first run as Iona got on the board with an RBI single to make it 1-0.
- Stony Brook took the lead in the bottom half of the second thanks to Alamo's first home run of the year, a two-run shot into the bullpen in right.
- A pair of two-out hits in the third gave Iona the lead back, with a single tying it and a double down the left field line making it 3-2 Gaels.

- Giordano got one back for the Seawolves with a sacrifice fly in the ninth, bringing the game to its final 12-8 scoreline.
STATS/NOTES
- Grande has hit safely in his last four outings, batting .500 during that span. It was also his second three-hit game of the season.
- Giordano has recorded a hit in six of his seven starts this season after going 1-for-4 today. His two RBI marked his first career multi-RBI outing.
- Hamilton hit his third home run of the season, bringing him within one of the top of the team leaderboard, while Alamo joined Hamilton, senior Dylan Resk (Ardsley, N.Y.) and junior Michael Wilson (Colonia, N.J.) as the four Seawolves with multiple home runs this season.
- The Seawolves drew seven walks on Tuesday, matching their season high set against Arkansas on March 2.
- Stony Brook also matched a season high with six extra-base hits and a new season high with four doubles.
- Five strikeouts is a new season-low for Stony Brook.
