STONY BROOK, N.Y.-The Stony Brook softball team is set to travel to Sacred Heart for a 2:30 pm doubleheader on Tuesday, and then head to St John's for a single game at 2:30 pm on Wednesday. 
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Seawolves are coming off of a perfect 4-0 weekend at the Stony Brook Invitational. The team defeated Bryant and Fairfield twice, which was led by strong pitching and timely hitting. In the circle Melissa Rahrich (Brighton, Colo.) picked up two wins, and Taylor Pechin (Harrington, Del.) and Shelbi Denman (Las Vegas, Nev.) each had a win. Rahrich also at a great weekend at the plate tallying eight hits in 15 at bats, and picked up five RBIs. 
 
SCOUTING SACRED HEART
The Pioneers enter the weekend with a 10-13 record on the season. The team is coming off of a doubleheader split with Hartford on Wednesday. Senior infielder Hailey Desrosiers leads the Pioneers with 33 hits, and in the circle Kristen McCann has seen most of the action pitching in 51.2 innings, owning a 3.93 ERA.
 
SCOUTING ST JOHN'S
The Red Storm enters the weekend with a 13-14 record on the season.  The team is coming off of a doubleheader split with Providence on Sunday. Marissa Rizzi leads St. John's in hits with 33, and in the circle Madison Morris has seen most of the action pitching in 104.2 innings, owning a 3.31 ERA. 
 
GOING THE DISTANCE
In the Stony Brook Invitational this past weekend, Rahrich, Denman and Pechin pitched complete games. 
Rahrich now has seven complete games on the season, and Denman and Pechin have two. 
 
KEEP THE STREAK!
With the four wins this weekend, the Seawolves have won nine straight. 
 
IN THE RANKS
Stony Brook leads the America East in batting average (.296), Rahrich is third in batting average (.390), and Denman is third in ERA (2.52).
 
ON DECK
The Seawolves open up conference play on Saturday when they take on Hartford for a 1 pm doubleheader, and then a single game on Sunday at 12 pm.
