STONY BROOK, N.Y.- The Stony Brook softball team is set to travel to Boca Raton and Miami, Florida for more tournament play this weekend. The Seawolves will face Yale, Florida Atlantic, Florida A&M, Florida International, and North Dakota State.

LAST TIME OUT
 The Seawolves are coming off losses against Idaho State and Colorado State on Friday. The team fell to the Bengals 10-8, and 9-1 to the Rams. In the loss to the Bengals, junior Riley Craig (Thornton, Colo.), junior Melissa Rahrich (Brighton, Colo.) and senior Irene Rivera (Sylmar, Calif.) paced the offense with home runs. Junior Jordyn Nowakowski (San Diego, Calif.) brought home the lone run for the team with an RBI double. 
 
SCOUTING YALE
 The Bulldogs enter the tournament with a 2-4 record on the year. They are coming off of two wins against Hartford on Sunday. Senior Carlin Hagmaier leads Yale in batting average (.450) and hits with nine. Senior Terra Jerpbak has seen most of the action in the circle this season, pitching in 14.2 innings while owning a .95 ERA.
 
 SCOUTING FLORIDA ATLANTIC
 The Owls enter the weekend with a 9-9 record on the year. The team is coming off of a 1-2 record at the Carolina Classic. Their two losses came at the hands of George Washington and North Carolina, and their win came against Fairfield. Senior Mia Olson leads Florida Atlantic in hits with 17, and has seen most of the action in the circle pitching in 39.2 innings. 
 
 SCOUTING FLORIDA A&M
 The Rattlers enter the weekend with a 4-14 record on the year. The team is coming off of a 2-1 record at the EMU Softball Tournament. They defeated Georgia Southern and Chattanooga, and fell to Villanova. Florida A&M is led by Athena Andrews, who has 15 hits for the season so far. Kyaira Brown has seen most of the action in the circle, pitching in 55.2 innings, while owning a 3-5 record. 
 
 SCOUTING FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL
 The Panthers enter the weekend with a 14-5 record on the year. The team is coming off of a 5-0 record at the Madeira Beach Invitational. They took down Georgia Southern, Penn State, Villanova, Siena and Detroit Mercy. Florida International is led by outfielder Jackie Schoff, who has a .410 batting average. Megan Kugelmann has seen most of the action in the circle pitching in 45 innings, and has a 2.18 ERA.
 
 SCOUTING NORTH DAKOTA STATE
 The Bison enter the weekend with a 9-8 record on the year. The team is coming off a 2-2 record at the Stanford University Invitational. Their two wins came against Cal Poly and Montana. North Dakota State is led by Madyson Camacho, who has 19 hits on the season. In the circle, KK Leddy has seen most of the action pitching in 66 innings while holding a 3.61 ERA.
 
HERING LEADS THE WAY
 Junior Jourdin Hering (Federal Way, Wash.) led off both games at the Colorado State Classic with singles, and came around to score against Idaho State as the Seawolves' first run of 2019. Hering ended the tournament with three hits in seven at bats. 
 
RAHRICH PICKS UP WHERE SHE LEFT OFF
After leading the team with a .453 batting average in 2018, Rahrich continued her success at the plate with five hits in seven at bats at the Colorado State Classic. On top of her five hits, she had four RBIs. 

ON DECK
The Seawolves will head to the Washington, D.C. for the Buff and Blue Challenge on Friday, March 15 through Sunday, March 17.
