STONY BROOK, N.Y.- The Stony Brook softball team is set to host Wagner on Tuesday at 2 pm, and then head to Hofstra on Wednesday for a game at 3 pm.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Seawolves are coming off of a conference series win at Hartford this past weekend. The Hawks took the first game, but Stony Brook rolled to 9-0 victories in the next two games. In the circle, Shelbi Denman (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Melissa Rahrich (Brighton, Colo.) picked up victories. 
 
SCOUTING WAGNER
The Seahawks enter the week with an 8-16 record. The team is coming off of a doubleheader split with Mount St. Mary's on Saturday. Senior utility player Karen Prihoda leads Wagner in batting average (.373) and hits (28). Freshman Kayla Hooks has seen most of the action in the circle pitching in 46 innings. 
 
SCOUTING HOFSTRA
The Pride enter the week with an 15-15 record. The team is coming off a series loss to Delaware on Saturday.  Freshman infielder Meghan Giordano leads Hofstra in batting average (.417) and hits (35). Freshman Madison Burns has seen most of the action in the circle pitching in 109.2 innings, owning a 3.19 ERA. 
 
DOUBLES MACHINE
Katelyn Corr (Suffield, Conn.) leads the team in doubles with nine, three of which came against Hartford during the weekend. 
 
IN THE NATIONAL RANKS
Rahrich is currently ranked fourth in toughest to strikeout, only having one in 81 at bats. She also is ranked fifth in runs batted in per game (1.39). 
Corr is fifth in runs per game (1.26).
 
IN THE CONFERENCE RANKS
Stony Brook leads the America East in batting average (.307), and pitching ERA (3.03). Corr leads in runs scored (29), and Rahrich is first in runs batted in (32).
 
ON DECK
The Seawolves will resume conference play when they host Binghamton for a three game series this weekend. The first game will begin at 1 pm on Saturday.
