STONY BROOK, N.Y.– The Stony Brook softball team is set for two midweek non-conference games at home. The Seawolves will take on Seton Hall on Tuesday at 4 pm, and then LIU Brooklyn on Wednesday at 4 pm. 
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Seawolves are coming off a conference series loss at the hands of UAlbany. The team ended up taking game one of the series by a score of 4-0.  In the victory, Melissa Rahrich (Brighton, Colo.) had a strong performance in the circle, giving up no runs. Taylor Pechin (Harrington, Del.) paced the offense with a key two-run single in the first inning, and then hit her first home run of the season in the seventh.
 
SCOUTING SETON HALL
The Pirates enter the week with a 17-19 record. The team is coming off of three straight losses against St. John's. Junior outfielder Hailey Arteaga leads Seton Hall in batting average (.393) and hits (44). Junior Reganne Camp has seen most of the action in the circle pitching in 97 innings, owning a 5.38 ERA.
 
SCOUTING LIU BROOKLYN
The Blackbirds enter the week with a 23-13 record. The team is coming off a doubleheader sweep against Mount St. Mary's.  Redshirt junior Patricia Griffin leads LIU Brooklyn in hits with 38.  Freshman Elena Valenzuela has seen most of the action in the circle pitching in 109 innings, owning a 1.93 ERA.
 
GOING THE DISTANCE
Rahrich leads the team with 16 complete games in the circle. Shelbi Denman (Las Vegas, Nev.) has five and Pechin has two.
 
KEEP THE STREAK
Katelyn Corr (Suffield, Conn.) has reached base safely in 20 straight games.
 
HOME RUN MACHINE
Rahrich has a total of 10 home runs on the season so far. This is the most she has had in her three years on the team.
 
IN THE CONFERENCE RANKS
Stony Brook leads the America East in batting average (.299). Corr is first in runs scored (35) and Rahrich leads in RBIs (41) and home runs (10).
 
ON DECK
The Seawolves will head to Lehigh for a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 12 pm.
