STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Stony Brook baseball team looks to remain in control of first in the America East this weekend when the Seawolves welcome rival Albany to Joe Nathan Field for a three-game set beginning Friday at noon. The Seawolves and Bearcats split the doubleheader Saturday before Stony Brook won the series finale on Sunday.

Albany comes into the rivalry series with a 14-17 record, including an even 6-6 resume in America East play. They are coming off a series win against UMBC, taking the latter two games against the Retrievers by 4-3 and 7-2 scorelines. Nick Kondo leads the Great Danes in the hitting department, currently batting at a .316 clip in 30 starts. He has five doubles and a pair of home runs to go along with 13 RBI on the year.

Clayton has a 3-2 record with a 5.72 ERA. Patrick Lagravinese is ninth in the country in triples, currently with five this season. That number also leads the league.
