STONY BROOK, N.Y.- The Stony Brook softball team is set to travel to Lehigh on Saturday for a doubleheader starting at 1 pm.
LAST TIME OUT
The Seawolves are coming off of two midweek victories. Stony brook defeated Seton Hall on Tuesday 6-0, and then took down LIU Brooklyn Wednesday 4-1.
In the win against Seton Hall,
Shelbi Denman (Las Vegas, Nev.) went all seven innings in the circle picking up her eighth win, and
Chloe VanGorder (Harvey's Lake, Pa.) hit her first collegiate home run.
In the victory against LIU Brooklyn,
Melissa Rahrich (Brighton, Colo.) went all seven innings in the circle picking up her 10th win, and
Taylor Pechin (Harrington, Del.) paced the offense driving in three.
SCOUTING LEHIGH
The Mountain Hawks enter the weekend with a 17-23 record. The team is coming off a doubleheader sweep against Princeton on Wednesday. Junior infielder Mary-Hannah Smith leads Lehigh in hits (48) and freshman Parker Boyd has seen most of the action in the circle pitching in 112.2 innings with a 3.23 ERA.
GOING THE DISTANCE
Rahrich leads the team with 17 complete games in the circle. Denman has six and Pechin has two.
KEEP THE STREAK
Katelyn Corr (Suffield, Conn.) has reached base safely in 22 straight games.
IN THE CONFERENCE RANKS
Stony Brook leads the America East in batting average (.298). Corr is first in runs scored (38) and Rahrich leads in RBIs (43) and home runs (11).
