STONY BROOK, N.Y.-The Stony Brook softball team is set to resume conference play this weekend when they host Binghamton for a three-game series. The series will begin with a 1 pm doubleheader on Saturday, followed by a single game on Sunday at 12 pm.
 
Stony Brook and Binghamton will be wearing yellow laces during the series to support the Go4theGoal initiative helping children with pediatric cancer. 
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Seawolves are coming off of a 6-1 loss at the hands of the Hofstra Pride on Wednesday. Alina Lance (New Athens, Ill.), Katelyn Corr (Suffield, Conn.) and Jordyn Nowakowski (San Diego, Calif.) tallied hits in the defeat.

SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
The Bearcats enter the weekend with a 12-15 record (1-2 AE). The team is coming off of a doubleheader split with Colgate on Tuesday, April 2. Binghamton is led by freshman infielder Marissa Braito, who has 26 hits on the season. Junior Rayn Gibson has seen most of the action in the circle, pitching in 64.2 innings, owning a 4.55 ERA.
 
GOING THE DISTANCE
Melissa Rahrich (Brighton, Colo.) leads the team pitching 12 complete games in the circle. 
 
IN THE CONFERENCE RANKS
Stony Brook leads the America East in batting average (.311), Corr is first in runs scored (31) and Rahrich is first in runs batted in (35)
 
IN THE NATIONAL RANKS
Rahrich is currently ranked fourth in toughest to strikeout, only having one in 86 at bats. She also is ranked fifth in runs batted in per game (1.39). 
Corr is fifth in runs per game (1.26).
