PHILADELPHIA –The Stony Brook women's soccer team was able to generate consistent pressure, but no goals, in a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Saint Joseph's on Sunday afternoon.
Junior
Sofia Manner (Helsinki, Finland) made five saves between the posts for the Seawolves.

SCORING SUMMARY
- 12thminute – Saint Joseph's 1, Stony Brook 0 – Morgan Bower scored all that the Hawks would need from just inside the box, turning and firing a high shot into the top corner.
STATS AND NOTES
- The 3-1-0 start is the best for the Seawolves since the 2013 season.
- Junior Chase Rome (Mulino, Ore.) led Stony Brook with three shots.
- Juniors Alyssa Francese (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) and Erin O'Connor (Setauket, N.Y.) each supplied on a shot on frame for Stony Brook. Freshman Catharina von Drigalski (Oberursel, Germany) also put a ball on net.
- The Seawolves finished with eight corners on the afternoon to Saint Joseph's two.
