NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Stony Brook volleyball team fell to Yale in three sets (17-25, 14-25, 21-25) on Friday night as the squad opened up play at the Yale Invitational.
Â
The Seawolves (3-9) went on a 7-2 run late in the third set to knot things up at 19 apiece, but the Bulldogs (2-5) closed out down the stretch to take the match victory in straight sets.
Coach Belzung's Reaction
"Yale is a really good volleyball team and they exposed our weaknesses tonight by both keeping us out of system and not allowing us to get into a rhythm defensively. We have controllable issues that we can be better at executing and will need to do that tomorrow against two tough opponents."
