Stony Brook also boasted the second overall pick in the 2019 NLL draft, with the Rochester Knighthawks selecting America East Defensive Player of the Year
Ryland Rees.
Other Seawolves first-round picks of the past dozen years include Challen Rogers (2016), Kevin Crowley (2011) and Rhys Duch (2008).

"We are thrilled to hear of Pat's projected high draft stock," Stony Brook associate head coach
JP Brazel said. "He is an extremely tough and hardworking player. He prides himself on doing the little things and intangibles that make a team successful."
Kaschalk, a 6-foot, 200-pound native of Windsor, Ontario, has tallied 30 goals and 10 assists along with 64 ground balls in 34 career games with the Seawolves since 2018. A business management major, Kaschalk earned a spot on the America East honor roll after last season.
"Patrick is a tough and fearless competitor, who really emerged as a leader on the offensive end of the field," head coach
Anthony Gilardi said. "He is selfless and willing to do whatever it takes to win."
