SERIES HISTORY: This matchup marks only the third time these two teams will go head-to-head. Stony Brook currently holds a 1-1 record against Penn. Stony Brook defeated Penn, 77-56, the last time the two teams met on Nov. 30, 2001, on the Island.

E. SCOTTY: Scott set a new career-high against the Rams, leading Stony Brook's score sheet with 24 points. She started the night off for the Seawolves with a three in the first 10 seconds of the game. The senior guard shot 10-of-16 (62.5%) from the field, 2-for-3 from beyond the arc, and knocked down both her free-throw attempts. Scott also pulled down five rebounds in the game.
NEW YORK'S TEAM: The Seawolves are 4-1 this season against teams that hail from New York state. Stony Brook has earned wins over St. John's, Iona, Columbia, and St. Francis Brooklyn. The Seawolves are slated to play three more New York state opponents this season: Hofstra, Binghamton (twice), and UAlbany (twice).
SCOUTING THE QUAKERS: The Quakers have gone winless in their last five games. Penn took on A10 opponent Saint Joseph's on Tuesday, Dec. 7 in Philadelphia, falling short, 83-70. Penn's scoring offense is led by junior guard Kayla Padilla. Padilla scored 31 of the Quakers' 70 points against the Hawks. Padilla currently leads the team averaging 22.8 points over six starts. Head coach Mike McLaughlin is in his 13
th year at the helm of Penn. McLaughlin has led the program to four Ivy League Championships and has brought three NCAA Tournament appearances to Philadelphia. This is McLaughlin's first appearance against Stony Brook.
