STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Coming off its biggest home win of the season, the Stony Brook men's basketball team will look to win its fourth game in five tries when it takes the floor against Bryant on Saturday night at Island Federal Arena.
The Seawolves are coming off a 79-62 victory over Hofstra on Wednesday night, the largest margin of victory for the Seawolves in the history of the Battle of Long Island. Stony Brook outscored the Pride 47-27 in the second half en route to its second win on this six-game homestand.
Jahlil Jenkins led the way with a game-high 24 points, 17 of which came in that second half, while
Tyler Stephenson-Moore recorded his first career double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.
Stony Brook enters Saturday at 4-4 and looks to climb above the .500 mark for the first time this season.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
- Bryant enters Saturday night with a 4-6 record, playing its fifth game in nine days. They are coming off a 76-59 win over New Hampshire on Wednesday, a game that snapped the Bulldogs' three-game losing streak.
- Peter Kiss and Charles Pride each recorded double-doubles, with Kiss scoring a game-high 23 points and Pride adding 16. Both players snagged 10 boards.
- The Bulldogs shot a season-best 50.8 percent from the field, including 36.4 percent from three.
- Jared Grasso's club boasts one of the nation's premier shot blockers, with Hall Elisias ranking ninth nationally in blocks per game at 3.4.
SERIES HISTORY
- Bryant has won both meetings in a series that dates back to 1998, with the Bulldogs winning 77-59 when both teams were Division II and an 81-72 victory last season in Smithfield.
- Juan Felix Rodriguez led five Seawolves in double figures last December, scoring 19 points. Jaden Sayles had 13, while Omar Habwe and Tykei Greene each added 10.

Tyler Stephenson-Moore has emerged as a key player for the Seawolves over the last four contests, scoring in double figures in two of them and recording his first career double-double in the most recent game, a 14-point, 12-rebound effort against Hofstra on Wednesday night.
The Jamaica, N.Y., native and Long Island Lutheran grad has shot 11-for-19 from the field over that span, including 8-for-14 from long range en route to a 53.3 season rate from distance. He has already matched his season output of eight triples from the 2020-21 campaign.
JAH RULES
Jahlil Jenkins recorded a new-season high on Wednesday, recording a game-high 24 points that included 17 in the second half of the Seawolves victory. His previous 2021-22 high came two games earlier, with 16 against American.
The Fairleigh Dickinson transfer has shot 19-for-39 from the field over his last three contests and 7-for-16 from long range during that span. He is currently five points and six assists from joining a club of three active Division I players with 1800 career points and 500 career assists.
TRIPLE THREATS
Stony Brook put on an electric performance from long distance on Wednesday night, draining a season-high 13, 3-pointers at a 46.4 percent clip to help spark the victory. Led by Tyler Stephenson-Moore and Frankie Policell's four each, the Seawolves bested their previous high of 11 by a pair, with nine coming in the second half.
It is the highest total since the squad hit 14 against UMBC on March 3, 2020. As a team, the Seawolves have found a rhythm from deep, hitting 39.7 percent of their 3-point attempts in the last five contests.
BOARD-Y BARN
The Seawolves dominated the glass on Wednesday night, recording a season-high 54 boards against Hofstra. That is 13 more than their previous season-best and the 20 offensive rebounds are a new high by 10.
In the last 11 years, only last season's NJIT matchup on Jan. 24, 2021 saw more Stony Brook rebounds, as the squad grabbed 55 that afternoon. It was also the first time this season that a pair of Seawolves recorded double-figure rebounds, with Stephenson-Moore (12) and Greene (11) leading the way.
LOST PRIDE
Hofstra entered Wednesday night's contest scoring 80 points in four consecutive games and featuring an electric offense that was ranked inside the Top 50 per KenPom.
The Seawolves' defense held Hofstra to season lows in points (62), field goal percentage (.391), 3-point percentage (.192), assists (12) and rebound margin (-21) en route to the 17-point victory, the largest for Stony Brook in the history of the rivalry.
