PHILADELPHIA — Stony Brook alum Travis Jankowski will head to camp with the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Phillies announced on Monday that Jankowski, who played for the Seawolves from xxxx, had signed a minor-league deal with the club that included an invite to major league camp.
Jankowski will join left-hander Daniel Zamora of the New York Mets as Seawolves in MLB camps.
Jankowski, 29, appeared in 16 games for the Cincinnati Reds last season after spending the bulk of his career with the San Diego Padres.
His Opening Day appearance last year marked the 20th season a Stony Brook alum had appeared in a major league game.
Jankowski, a member of the Seawolves' 2012 College World Series team, was drafted in the first round that June.
