STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Dylan Pallonetti's stellar collegiate debut with the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team has landed him national recognition.

Pallonetti, who tallied six goals and an assist in a 20-6 season-opening win against Sacred Heart last Saturday, has been named to the first USILA Team of the Week of 2021.

The six-goal performance set a Stony Brook program record for a collegiate debut.

Pallonetti, an redshirt freshman attackman from Ward Melville High School in Stony Brook, transferred this academic year from Maryland.

He was joined on the USILA Team of the Week by Mike Madsen (St. John's), Matt Moore (Virginia), Ryan Tierney (Hofstra), Kevin Rogers (High Point), Alec Stathakis (Denver), Garrett Zungailia (Towson), Ryan McNulty (Loyola), Luke Caracciolo (Bryant) and Bobby Gavin (Virginia).

The 20th-ranked Seawolves (1-0) return to action Saturday at noon against Bryant (1-0) at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium.
