Unfortunately for the Seawolves, they suffered a 4-1 loss to the Pride in the Battle of Long Island.

Curtis Copenhaver then made his collegiate debut in the second half in goal.
Aki Solvason got Stony Brook on the scoreboard in the 88th minute. The freshman from Iceland had tallied his first career goal in the season opener against St. John's.
Stony Brook (0-2) returns to action Friday when it opens America East play against UMBC at 1 p.m. at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium.
