HARRISONBURG, Va. — The Stony Brook softball team will look to rebound on Saturday.
The Seawolves fell to host James Madison, 4-1 and 7-1, on Friday.
In Game 1,
Dawn Bodrug pitched a complete game, surrendering two earned runs, although she was tagged with her first loss. The Seawolves had opened the scoring after
Jordyn Nowakowski drew a bases-loaded walk in the first inning.
In Game 2, James Madison was clinging to a 2-1 lead before taking command with a five-run sixth. The Seawolves had drawn even at 1 in the third on a run-scoring groundout from
Shauna Nuss.
Stony Brook (5-3) returns to action Saturday when it remains in Harrisburg for an 11 a.m. doubleheader against Rhode Island.
