STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The Stony Brook baseball team recognized its seniors before its final regular-season home series on Saturday. The Seawolves then moved closer to clinching the America East title.
Stony Brook split a doubleheader with NJIT, falling 2-0 and then winning 11-3 at Joe Nathan Field.
Chris Hamilton's bases-clearing double in the sixth allowed Stony Brook to take command of the nightcap. Hamilton went 3-for-5 with five RBIs in Game 2.
Eric Foster made his season debut, handling the ninth.
Foster combined with

Mark Alday and
Adam Erickson on a one-hitter.
