STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Fanny Götesson's achievements on the women's soccer field include setting the program's Division I record for career assists.

Her achievements in the classroom are equally as gaudy.

Götesson, a business management and sociology major who boasts a 3.98 GPA, earned CoSIDA Academic All-District recognition for the second straight year on Thursday. She now advances to Academic All-America consideration.

Götesson was the Most Outstanding Player at the America East Tournament and earned second-team all-conference honors. She was a United Soccer Coaches second-team Scholar All-Region selection as well as an America East Spring 2021 Presidential Scholar-Athlete.

She also won a second straight Elite 18 Award for having the highest GPA among student-athletes competing in the America East tourney.
