FULL SCHEDULE
STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The last time Stony Brook Women's Soccer faced off against a Pac-12 opponent, they walked away victorious against Oregon State in 2018.Â
The next matchup against that league comes September 5, when the Seawolves head to Colorado for the final road non-conference game of the year. That comes on the back end of a two-game road swing that also includes Big East foe Providence on September 2.
"We put together a very challenging non-conference schedule in the hopes to be prepared for America East conference play," head coach Tobi Bischof said. "We are bringing back a talented team, but also going to see many new faces after we graduated a senior class that won three America East championships."
Before that, the Seawolves have four games with local foes, including opening the fall season the same way they opened the spring: the Battle for Long Island at Hofstra on August 19. The team's home opener will come on August 22 against Quinnipiac at LaValle Stadium.
The following weekend brings another away-then-home series, with a trip to LIU on the docket for August 26 and a home match with Columbia on August 29.
After the trip out west, a four-game homestand commences against four different leagues, with Fairleigh Dickinson of the NEC trekking to Long Island on September 9 and A-10 foe Saint Joseph's making the return trip to LaValle on September 12. Ivy League member Cornell ends non-conference play on September 17 and two days later, UAlbany opens America East play with a September 19 rivalry match at Stony Brook.
Three of the next four are on the road with games against Vermont (September 26), NJIT (September 30) and Maine (October 10) away from the island. New Hampshire breaks the road trip up, coming to Long Island for an October 3 matinee.
An America East Championship rematch is in store for October 14, with Binghamton and Stony Brook matching up under the Thursday night lights.Â
"The goal is not changing for us," Bischof added. "We want to again compete for another America East Championship."
The Seawolves' calendar ends with a road match at Hartford on October 17 and then UMass Lowell at home on October 24.
