BOSTON — The two-time champs are picked to three-peat this November.

Stony Brook Women's Soccer was selected as the unanimous preseason favorite in the 2021 America East Coaches' Poll, released on Monday. The Seawolves secured all nine of the possible first-place votes from the league's head coaches ahead of the start of the fall 2021 campaign on August 19.

The Seawolves return five All-Conference selections from a season ago, with first-teamers Alyssa Francese and Chelsie DePonte leading the way. The pair were also named United Soccer Coaches All-Region honorees and Scholar All-Americans for their 2021 performances.

Rising junior Catharina von Drigalski earned a second team accolade and rising sophomores Emma Beattie and Kerry Pearson were selected to the conference's all-rookie team. 

Head coach Tobi Bischof's club returns six starters from last season's NCAA Tournament match and four of the five who came off the bench are also back ahead of the squad's 2021 fall debut against Hofstra. 

The first of eight home games is three days later its Hofstra battle, welcoming MAAC foe Quinnipiac for a 1 p.m. kick at LaValle stadium.
