VESTAL, N.Y. — After an opening-weekend victory, the Stony Brook men's soccer program was not able to follow it up on Saturday afternoon as Binghamton earned a 1-0 victory over the Seawolves in the Southern Tier of New York.
The first half of the game went scoreless with six shots but Binghamton was able to break through in the second, as Oliver Svalander got on the end of a deflected pass into the box and put it past
Edmond Kaiser. Stony Brook was able to record six shots in the final 45 minutes but could not sneak one past the Binghamton keeper.
STATS AND NOTES
- Kori Cupid matched his career high with four shots on the day, the first time he's hit the mark since 2019.
- Jonas Bickus recorded multiple shots for the second consecutive contest and the third time this year.
- Kaiser has made seven saves in his last eight shots on frame.
