LAKE CHARLES, La. — The Stony Brook baseball's teams bats were held quiet in Sunday's series finale at McNeese State as the Seawolves could only muster one run on four hits in a 4-1 defeat at the Cowboys.
The lone scoring from the Seawolves came in the sixth, when
Idris Carter launched his first career home run.
McNeese State's four runs all came in the third, as a pair of run-scoring doubles accounted for three of the four scores. An RBI single finished off the scoring.
The Seawolves bullpen came on strong to keep the host's offense at bay, throwing six scoreless innings in a stretch punctuated by the collegiate debut of
John Kiss.

QUOTES FROM THE SEAWOLVES
"If not for allowing the two big innings to McNeese in games one and three and our lack of timely hitting, this weekend's result could have been much better. Credit to McNeese for doing what was needed to win the series. That being said, we will regroup this week by looking to improve all areas of our game in preparation for the challenge of a quality USF club next weekend." - head coach
Matt Senk.
