STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Five Seawolves participated in Stony Brook's annual Pro Day which was held inside the indoor practice facility on Monday morning. Scouts from three NFL franchises and one CFL team were on hand to take in the Seawolves' Pro Day.

Quarterback Tyquell Fields, offensive lineman Justin Morgan, defensive back Dajon Owens, defensive lineman Casey Williams, and defensive lineman Brandon Lopez showcased their talents as they take the necessary steps to pursue a professional football career.

"We were able to showcase what we've been working on for our entire lives. A lot of these guys have been doing this for years – I know I've been doing this for 10-plus years, and I know a few of the other guys have been doing it for that long too. This is a lifelong goal for us and we finally get to fulfill our dream and hopefully take us to the next level. I feel like this is our job interview of a lifetime and we are just striving and going through it trying to be as successful as we can," said Morgan as he discussed the importance of being able to showcase his abilities in front of professional scouts on Monday.

The five began the day by working out in the weight room. They then took to the indoor practice facility where they participated in agility drills and individual positional workouts.

"I feel like I performed pretty well today, I'm impressed. I'm not surprised with my performance, I've been training really well for the past couple of months. I feel like they liked what they saw today," said Owens as he shared his thoughts on his performance at Pro Day.

Fields, Morgan, Owens, Williams, and Lopez will all continue to prepare for the next phase of their football careers and several will work out individually for teams. The 2022 NFL Draft is set for April 28-30, and players can sign as undrafted free agents following the draft if they are not selected.
