3/3/2022 2:42:00 PM

BOSTON – Graduate forward India Pagan and senior guard Anastasia Warren claimed All-Conference honors as announced by the America East office on Thursday afternoon. Warren earned All-Conference First Team honors, while Pagan was tabbed to the All-Conference Second Team and All-Academic Team.

"Annie and India are both well-deserving of this recognition. They both have worked really hard in the offseason and during the season to elevate their game. These honors are no surprise to me, but I am glad that the league recognizes and respects their performance this season," said women's basketball head coach Ashley Langford.

Warren finished the regular season with a total of 319 points, averaging 12.3 points per game over 26 starts. The 319 total points are a career-high for the guard and sits her within the top 10 in the America East for scoring. Warren netted her 100th career three-pointer on Jan. 12 against Vermont. She totaled 43 three-pointers made across the season which sits her within the top 10 in the conference standings.

With the 43 made threes, the Atlanta, Ga. native currently sits in sixth-place in the Stony Brook record book for three-point field goals made. Not only has Warren made her mark from beyond the arc, but she has also made her impact from the stripe. The guard finished the season shooting 78.4 percent (58-of-74) from the line, her second-highest single-season free-throw percentage (finished with 80.8% in 2020-21). Warren's 58 made free-throw's this season propelled her into fourth-place in the all-time record books for career free-throw percentage (77.8%). This is Warren's fourth time earning All-Conference honors as she has earned All-Rookie Team and All-America East Third Team, twice, throughout her collegiate career.

Pagan anchored the offense all season long from inside the paint. The graduate finished the regular season totaling 319 points, averaging 12.3 points per game over 26 starts. Pagan led the conference in field goal percentage, shooting 58.3 percent (134-of-230) from the field. Along with leading the conference, the New London, Conn. native was also ranked 13th in the nation amongst the NCAA ranks for field-goal percentage.

The forward's 319 points have helped rocket her into eighth-place in the all-time program record book for 1,000 point scorers, as she currently has 1,418 total points. Pagan was a force to be reckoned with on the boards leading the team and sitting within the top 10 in the conference for rebounding. Pagan's 167 rebounds contributed to Stony Brook's success on the boards as the Seawolves led the conference in total rebounds and defensive rebounds. The graduate pulled down 109 defensive rebounds, helping her land in sixth in the program's history for defensive rebounds with 430 in her collegiate career. This is the third time Pagan has received conference honors, previously being named to All-America East First Team and All-America East Second-Team.

In addition to the All-Conference Second Team honor, Pagan was selected to the All-Academic Team for her prowess in the classroom. Over the course of her academic career, Pagan was named to the Stony Brook Society of Distinguished Scholar-Athletes and has earned Dean's List status four times. The forward has received America East Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition three times and was also tabbed to the All-Academic Team in 2019-20.
