India Pagan and Annie Warren Earn All-Met Honors

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Graduate forward India Pagan and senior guard Anastasia Warren earned the attention of the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association. Pagan was tabbed as an All-Met Second Team honoree and Warren was named as an All-Met Third Team honoree by the MBWA as announced by the association on Friday.
 
Pagan made her presence known in the paint all season long as she finished the regular season averaging 12.3 points per game over 26 starts. The graduate not only led the America East in field goal percentage, shooting 58.3 percent (134-of-230) from the field, but was also ranked among some of the nation's top scorers from the field. Pagan was ranked 13th in the NCAA ranks for field-goal percentage.
 
The America East All-Conference Second Team and All-Academic honoree finished her collegiate career with 1,418 total points. Pagan's success from the field has earned her the eighth-place spot in the program's record book for 1,000-point scorers. Along with dominating from the field, the forward also owned the boards as she pulled down 109 defensive rebounds this season. Pagan's 109 boards have helped her land in sixth in the program's history for defensive rebounds with 430 in her collegiate career.
 
It's no secret that Annie Warren is a threat from beyond the arc. The senior finished the regular season with a career-high 319 total points and averaged 12.3 points per game over 26 starts. Warren finished within the top 10 in the America East for both scoring and three-pointers made (43) this past season.
 
Warren's hot shooting throughout her career have earned the Atlanta, Ga. native multiple spots within the program's record book. The 43 made threes earned the America East All-Conference First Team honoree a sixth-place spot in the Stony Brook record book for three-point field goals made. In addition, Warren also made her mark from the stripe, finishing the season shooting 78.4 percent (58-of-74) from the line. The guard's 58 made free-throws propelled her into fourth-place in the all-time record books for career free-throw percentage (77.8%).
