STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Shane Paradine homered for the second time in three games, but the Stony Brook baseball team fell at UMBC on Saturday afternoon 10-3, evening the series at a game apiece.
The Bayonne, N.J., native launched his fourth of the year and second in six days with an eighth-inning, two-run shot.
Brett Paulsen provided the other run, a RBI single to right-center to score
Matt Brown-Eiring in the seventh frame.
Brandon Lashley started the contest, going five innings and allowing just two runs on four hits.
STATS AND NOTES
- Paulsen recorded a pair of hits for his 12th multi-hit game of the season, one off the team lead.
- Paradine's homer is his fourth of the season, matching his total from a season ago. He has eight for his career. He's also one RBI shy from tying his 2021 output.
- Giordano has now scored in four consecutive contests, totaling six times across the plate.
