The Seawolves sent out graduate
Nick DeGennaro on the bump. The right-hander gave up three runs in the first inning to Troy, including a homer on the first pitch of the game, but settled down in the second and third inning after sophomore catcher
Chris Leone tossed out a runner in each inning and DeGennaro punched out two over the two innings.
With the Trojans being held quiet in the second and third inning, the Stony Brook bats would waken by scoring four runs over the next two innings. Getting the action going for Stony Brook was freshman
Johnny Pilla. Pilla, who made his first career start today, doubled to right center in the second inning to bring home Leone.
