STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Stony Brook men's lacrosse team (2-3) fell to Brown (3-1), 17-12, at LaValle Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Seawolves had four student-athletes record multi-goal games, with senior attack
Dylan Pallonetti leading the way with a hat trick in the defeats.
Brown jumped out to an early 4-0 lead before Stony Brook senior long stick midfielder
Christian Lowd found the back of the net for the first time this season. The Bears bounced right back by going on another 4-0 run to go out in front 8-1.
After falling behind by seven goals with 8:02 to play in the second quarter, Stony Brook went on a scoring run of its own. From the 6:22 mark in the second through the 3:22 mark in the third quarter, the Seawolves tallied eight of the nine goals scored and tied the game up at 9-9.
Over that scoring streak, Pallonetti registered a hat trick and senior attack
Blake Behlen scored a highlight reel behind the back goal with 12:23 to play in the third quarter.
The Bears closed out the third quarter by scoring a pair of goals and took an 11-9 lead into the fourth. Brown outscored Stony Brook 6-3 in the fourth quarter and secured the 17-12 win.

QUOTES FROM THE SEAWOLVES
"I'm disappointed. To go down 5-1 at the start of the first quarter was tough. I thought we were prepared, we knew what they were doing, we got to make the plays in the moment. The consistency that we said we have been striving for – we are still looking for it. I am proud of the guys for coming out at halftime and tying it up at 9-9, but we beat ourselves. We had too many unforced plays, too many fouls, and I think those are the plays that hurt us. We got into an emotional rollercoaster there in the moment and we need to be disciplined to not beat ourselves," said head coach
Anthony Gilardi.
