RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Stony Brook softball team (15-20, 3-11 CAA) swept the Manhattan Jaspers (6-25, 2-2 MAAC) on Thursday afternoon. The Seawolves secured a 6-2 victory in game one and earned a 5-3 win in game two.
The Seawolves took advantage of hot hitting in the fifth inning to secure their 6-2 victory in the first game of the day. Junior outfielder
Alicia Orosco got the momentum started when she singled to left field to bring home junior infielder
Sofia Chambers. Junior utility
Catherine Anne Kupinski followed Orosco's lead with a double to left center which brought home Orosco.
