STONY BROOK, N.Y. – After earning all-conference honors as a freshman, Andre Snoddy is returning home to the Island.

Former NEC All-Rookie Team member, six-time Rookie of the Week honoree, and four-time NEC Prime Performer, Andre Snoddy, joins the Seawolves after spending his first two seasons at Central Connecticut State.

"We are super excited that Andre is coming home to Stony Brook. He had a great season with Central Connecticut this past year. He will give us a very versatile, physically tough perimeter player who has a real knack for rebounding. He is a great fit for our program on and off the floor," said head coach Geno Ford.

The Melville, N.Y. native is coming off a 2022-23 campaign at CCSU where he tallied 9.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game in 32 starts. He shot 43.2 percent from the field and 30 percent from beyond the arc.

He scored in double figures in 13 games throughout the season and registered four-straight double-doubles from January 20-28. The forward ranked within the top 10 in the NEC in four separate categories, fourth in rebounding (8.4), fourth in offensive rebounds (2.7), fifth in defensive rebounds (5.8) and sixth in minutes (33.1).

"I'm really looking forward to doing special things here at Stony Brook with my new family," Snoddy said.

The St. Thomas More School and St. Anthony's High School product dropped a career-high 20 points against Sacred Heart and pulled down a career-high 18 rebounds against Wagner this past season.
