UNIONDALE, N.Y. - Stony Brook University men's lacrosse alumnus
Matt Anderson signed a two-year contract with the New York Riptide of the National Lacrosse League, the club announced last Friday.

A five-year player for the Seawolves, Anderson was originally drafted 33rd overall to the Philadelphia Wings in the 2022 Entry Draft before a career year at Stony Brook in 2023. Anderson set career highs in goals (29), assists (16) and points (45) during his graduate season at Stony Brook.
The Burlington, Ontario native spent part of six seasons with the Oakville Buzz and the Burlington Chiefs in the Ontario Jr. A Lacrosse League. Earlier last week, Anderson was acquired in a three-team trade by the Riptide. Anderson is set to report to training camp with the Riptide in November.
