RICHMOND, Va. – After breaking the program record for touchdown passes in a single game, graduate student Tyler Knoop has been named CAA Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday morning.

Knoop becomes the second Seawolf this season to earn the CAA weekly award. Redshirt senior running back Roland Dempster earned the award twice this season.

In the Seawolves 52-24 win over Towson on Saturday in Baltimore, he was 34-of-40 (85%) passing for a career-high 387 yards and a program-record six touchdowns. He guided the offense that piled up 512 yards and scored its most points since 2017. Knoop's six TD passes are tied for the most in FCS this season and the 387 yards are the 5th-most in SBU history.

This season, Knoop is now 71-of-95 (74.7%) for 665 yards in the air with seven touchdowns and two interceptions for a QBR rating of 153.64.

The Seawolves head back to Long Island for their next battle as they host William & Mary for Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 26th. The Seawolves are 1-4 all-time against the Tribe and are looking for their first victory over W&M at LaValle Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. and the contest will air live on SNY and stream live on FloFootball.
