Stephenson-Moore Scores Career High, Seawolves Cruise Past North Carolina A&T

STONY BROOK, N.Y. - The Stony Brook University men's basketball team defeated North Carolina A&T, 80-64, on Thursday evening at Island Federal Arena. Tyler Stephenson-Moore produced a career-high 28 points, while Aaron Clarke narrowly missed a double-double, finishing with 10 rebounds and eight assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Stony Brook trailed early on, falling behind 9-6 and feeling the effects of the return of Landon Glasper to the Aggies' lineup. A quick response from the Seawolves, fueled by three-pointers from Andre Snoddy and Stephenson-Moore turned the tides back in the Seawolves' favor.

A triple from Glasper evened the score at 25-25 with less than six minutes to play in the half. Stony Brook closed the half on a 14-4 run, highlighted by big shots from Jared Frey to take a 10-point advantage into the break.

Dean Noll opened the second half by scoring the first three baskets, opening up a 16-point lead and forcing a quick Aggies' timeout. After A&T narrowed the gap to 12 points, the Seawolves expanded their lead to 20 points, the largest of the evening.

Stony Brook's lead grew as large as 26 points down the stretch and only momentarily fell below 20 points. Stony Brook closed out its 11th win at Island Federal Arena, downing North Carolina A&T.
