Partnering with the exceptional Career Center, they delivered an impactful experience filled with valuable life lessons and insightful career advice from industry representatives.
This annual event goes beyond etiquette tips, offering an experiential opportunity to network with key company representatives from renowned companies like Stony Brook Hospital, Techtronic Industries, Zebra Technologies, Enterprise Mobility, Soter Technologies, PSEG Long Island, and Brookhaven National Labs joined the students for an enriching evening. After an initial networking session, Kimberly Dixon, the Career Center's Director of Employer Relations and Diversity Recruitment, served as the event's etiquette expert, guiding participants through the intricacies of formal dining etiquette. Her expertise covered everything from utensil mastery to conversation navigation, emphasizing the importance of professionalism throughout one's career journey. Beyond table manners, Dixon delved into the power of networking, interview attire, and personal branding, equipping these future leaders with a well-rounded skill set.
