Kennedy ‘21 and Masera ‘24 Invited to USA Lacrosse Sixes Training Camp

SPARKS, Md. – Stony Brook University women's lacrosse alumnae Ally Kennedy '21 and Ellie Masera '24 were invited to USA Sixes training camp, which will be held at the USA Lacrosse headquarters from June 10-12.
 
The Seawolves duo are two of 24 players made up of a combination of current and former college lacrosse student-athletes, professional players, and previous U.S. national team veterans. The team has invited these individuals to showcase their talents in preparation for the 2028 Olympics, hosted in Los Angeles.
 
Kennedy totaled 329 points on 266 goals and 63 assists through her five-year stint with the Seawolves. She is second all-time in goals, fourth in points, and recorded the third-most draw controls (343) in program history. She was named both IWLCA and America East Midfielder of the Year in 2021 and claimed IWLCA and Inside Lacrosse All-American First Team honors. She was chosen second overall in the 2021 Athletes Unlimited College Draft. Since then, she has gone on to win gold with the U.S. National Team in the 2022 World Lacrosse Women's Championship.
 
Masera capped off a stellar senior season with a career-high 77 goals, 40 assists, and 117 points to lead the Seawolves to their second consecutive CAA Championship and 11th straight NCAA Tournament berth. Over the course of her career, she registered 317 points, 232 goals, 85 assists, and 390 draw controls. She was named the CAA Midfielder of the Year while receiving IWLCA, Inside Lacrosse, and USA Lacrosse All-American First Team honors. She was also selected as a Tewaaraton Award Finalist and was the third overall pick in the 2024 Athletes Unlimited College Draft. Masera holds the program career record for draw controls (390), is third all-time in goals, fifth in points, and fifth in assists.
 
Kennedy and Masera will partake in the USA Sixes Camp ahead of the inaugural USA Lacrosse Experience later this year, where the Sixes Team will play against international competition for only the fourth time.
