The scored ended up 12 times in what was one of the the closest sets of the night. In the end, though, with the Seawolves up 20-19 they were able to take advantage of three William & Mary errors and take the set.

SET 3 | Stony Brook grabbed another win in set three to make it a 2-1 match. Coming out to an early 12-7 lead, the Seawolves soon saw their advantage crumble as the Tribe put up a 7-0 scoring run to make it 14-12. Stony Brook, however, immediately responded with a 7-0 run of their own to make it 20-14. William & Mary managed to fight back and ultimately tie the set at 23-23, but a kill from Mopelola Ojo and a bad set by the tribe gave Stony Brook the win. The Seawolves racked up another 17 kills over the course of the set, once again being led Moore with seven.
