STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.- The Stony Brook men's track and field team continued its buildup to the indoor championship season by competing at the Fastrack National Invite on Friday.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Ethan Green, Mario Xerri, Ryan Hesler, and Luca Maneri teamed up to take second in the 4000m relay (10:23.91).
• Finishing sixth in the 4000m relay was the team of Thomas Burfeind, Walesky Nowak, Fernando Diaz, and Joseph Bertola (10:32.66).
• Ryan Scarry finished seventh in the 60m hurdles, finishing in 9.01 seconds, a new personal best.

"I felt this was a good meet for both teams, even though the final placings of some of our men and women might not reflect it," said head coach Andy Ronan. "We had competitive performances and a lot of season-best efforts, which is nice to see right now as we get closer to the championship part of the season. The DMR team of Ethan Green, Mario Xerri, Ryan Hessler, and Luca Maneri ran well; Ethan and Ryan had returned from running well in the mile and 800m, respectively. We also felt good about John Fontanez and Brian Liebowitz's run in the 3000m."

UP NEXT
Stony Brook will travel to New Haven, Connecticut, next Saturday for its final meet of the indoor regular season, competing at the Giegengack Invitational hosted by Yale.
