Willis Wins High Jump, Headlining Seawolves Showing at Monmouth Opener

MONMOUTH, N.J. — Stony Brook men's track and field resumed outdoor competition on Saturday at the Monmouth Home Opener. The Seawolves posted nine top-eight finishes, including an event win in the high jump by T'Vario Willis

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Willis won the high jump event  (2.00m).
  • Caleb Gartner ran a strong race to finish second in the 800-meter (1:52.91).
  • Matthew Brodsky posted a third-place finish in the 800-meter (1:54.72).
  • Andres Acosta Mondriguez came in sixth in the 400-meter dash (49.95).
  • Jaden Medrano placed sixth overall in the 800-meter (1:56.61).
  • Ryan Scarry finished sixth in the 400-meter hurdles (58.07).
  • Charlie Garcia placed seventh in the 100-meter dash (11.14).
  • Walesky Nowak recorded a seventh-place finish in the 800-meter (1:56.81).
  • Jamal Joseph finished eighth in the 200-meter (22.56).


UP NEXT

The outdoor season continues next Friday and Saturday when Stony Brook travels to Virginia for the Colonial Relays.
