PRINCETON, N.J. — Stony Brook men's track and field wrapped up its regular season on Friday and Saturday at the annual Larry Ellis Invitational in New Jersey. During the two-day event, the Seawolves recorded five top-eight finishes.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Collin Gilstrap recorded the best placement by a Seawolf, coming in second place in the 1,500-meter event on Friday (3:45.40).
- Walesky Nowak earned himself a third-place finish in the 800-meter run on Saturday. He finished the race in 1:53.91, setting a new PR for his efforts.
- Jaden Medrano came behind, finishing fifth in Saturday's 800-meter. His final time of 1:53.97 was a new PR.
- T'Vario Willis placed fifth in the men's high jump event (2.01m).
- Steven Struk finished eighth overall in the 5,000-meter, setting a new PR in the process (14:08.43).
UP NEXT
With the regular season now in the rear view, Stony Brook will now turn its attention to championship season, which will begin on May 15-16 at the CAA Outdoor Championships in North Carolina.
