RICHMOND, Va. — Stony Brook's Jamison MacLachlan and Kian McCoy earned CAA Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week distinction, respectively, as announced by the conference office on Monday. Both played an integral role on their respective ends of the field in a 17-16 victory over No. 12 Fairfield this past Saturday.

MacLachlan made a season-high 20 saves to help take down the Stags, Stony Brook's second win over a ranked opponent in 2025. He posted a .571 save percentage. MacLachlan caused a turnover, registered seven ground ball pickups and also tallied an assist on a first quarter goal. It marks the third time this season that MacLachlan has earned CAA Defensive Player of the Week distinction.

Kian McCoy registered a game-high six points (three goals, three assists) in the win over No. 12 Fairfield. McCoy added four ground balls as well. He has registered a point in eight straight games and in nine of his 10 appearances this year and has multiple points in six straight contests.
