WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - The Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association announced its annual All-Met teams today, with CJ Luster II being voted All-Met Third Team. Being named All-Met is unique in that there are 21 colleges and universities and more than 300 men's players under the MBWA Division I umbrella.

Luster was also recognized on the All-CAA Third Team this year.

The top all-around player for Stony Brook in the 2024-25 campaign, Luster started all 32 games and paced the Seawolves with 16.8 points per game and 539 total points, both of which ranked in the top five in the CAA. He posted elite shooting numbers from all ranges, ending the year with a .429 field goal percentage, .421 three-point percentage, and .865 free throw percentage, with the latter two numbers ranking in the top five in the CAA as well. He finished with a field goal percentage above 50 percent 12 times this year and had 11 games with a three-point percentage above 50 percent. Luster also had 10 games with a perfect free throw percentage, including a 10-for-10 effort against Air Force on December 7. In total he recorded 24 double-digit scoring performances, posting multiple three-pointers in every single one.

Luster added his name to the Stony Brook record book multiple times this past season, headlined by his 102 three-pointers which rank second in program history in a single season. Likewise, his three games with at least 30 points scored are the most ever by a Seawolf in a single season. His aforementioned three-point and free throw percentages both rank in the top 10 in program history as well.

In the final game of the year against Delaware in the first round of the CAA Tournament, Luster put on one of his best performances of the season, tying career-high efforts with 31 points and 10 field goals made.
