RICHMOND, Va. — After a standout sophomore season,
Mia Palladino has been named to the All-CAA Second Team in singles, as announced by the league office Friday afternoon. The honor marks the first individual postseason recognition for the program since Stony Brook joined the Colonial Athletic Association ahead of the 2022 fall season.
Palladino tallied 12 singles victories during the 2024–25 campaign, including a perfect 5-0 mark in conference play. Her efforts helped lead the Seawolves to four wins in five CAA matchups.
Among her conference highlights was a signature victory over Delaware's Maryia Hrynashka, who entered the match ranked No. 61 nationally. Palladino closed the year strong, winning five of her final seven singles matches and contributing to Stony Brook's six-match win streak—the program's longest since the 2018–19 season.
Her consistent play was instrumental in Stony Brook reaching a 10-10 overall record, their first double-digit win season since 2022–23.
