STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The Stony Brook men's soccer team fell to Drexel 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at LaValle Stadium. Goalkeeper Heidar Hermannsson tallied a game-high two saves in the contest.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After a slow first ten minutes of play, Drexel opened the scoring in the 11th minute to take an early 1-0 lead. Throughout the remainder of the first half, the Seawolf defense held Drexel at bay, thwarting several Dragon scoring opportunities. Just like the first half, things started slowly in the second half, then in the 54th minute the Dragons tacked on another goal, taking a 2-0 lead. The Seawolves tallied nine shots in the second half, but were unable to find the back of the net, as the Dragons went on to secure the 2-0 victory.
