BROOKLINE, Mass. - Stony Brook picked up its first conference win of the season today as the Seawolves blanked Northeastern 2-0 behind goals from Jackson Gould and Finlay Oliver and Heidar Hermannsson's first career shutout.

HOW IT HAPPENED
It only took until the 13th minute for Stony Brook to get on the board as Gould headed one in from the right side for his first career goal. Bruno Penney and Caleb Danquah earned the assists on Gould's header. Meanwhile, the Seawolves defense prevented the Huskies from recording a single shot on goal in the first half.

In the 64th minute, Stony Brook got an insurance goal from Finlay as he maneuvered through a trio of defenders and buried one in the bottom left corner of the goal to make it 2-0. In goal, Hermannssonn was more than up to the task of preserving this lead as he stopped all four shots he faced in the half.

• Oliver increases his team highs in goals and points to five and 13, respectively.
