STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The 2026 Stony Brook Lacrosse Golf Classic, held at St. George's Golf & Country Club in Setauket, was an outstanding success, attracting over 150 attendees, including more than 30 men's lacrosse and Stony Brook alumni. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the event raised more than $69,000, which will directly benefit the Stony Brook men's lacrosse program.
The Stony Brook men's lacrosse community came together for another memorable day, featuring a full 18 holes of golf that provided alumni, supporters and friends of the program the opportunity to connect, compete and show their continued support for Seawolves lacrosse.
New to this year's outing was 300 Launch, an interactive golf ball launcher experience that gave participants the chance to drive a ball hundreds of yards without a traditional tee. The unique activation brought an added element of excitement to the course, with golfers taking their shot at the green from a distance and competing for prizes.
Following the day's competition, attendees gathered for dinner and an awards ceremony celebrating the day's top performances, including the winning foursome, closest-to-the-pin and longest-drive winners, as well as those who took on the "Beat the Seawolf" challenge.
The continued generosity of the men's lacrosse community plays an important role in supporting the program and providing Stony Brook student-athletes with opportunities and resources that help elevate their experience.
