RICHMOND, Va. - The Stony Brook men's track and field team swept the weekly CAA awards on Tuesday as
Jamal Joseph took home track athlete of the week honors while
T'Vario Willis was named field athlete of the week. Both athletes picked up a win at the Giegengack Invitational.
Joseph sprinted his way to victory in the 200-meter with a time of 22.54, beating out the rest of the 16-runner field. He also finished third in the 400-meter after running a 50.41.
As for Willis, he took home first place in the high jump, topping out at 1.95 meters while no one else got higher than 1.85m.
With the regular season slate complete, Joseph and Willis will join the rest of the squad as they prepare for the CAA Championships in Boston, Mass. from February 22-23.
