STONY BROOK, N.Y. - Stony Brook women's basketball took care of business on Friday night, defeating Hampton 67-58 at Stony Brook Arena.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Hampton then bridged the gap with free-throw shooting as the Seawolves led 13-8 with 2:19 left to go in the opening quarter. The Stony Brook lead would balloon to 15 at the end of the quarter following a 10-0 run capped off by a bank in three from

Following a media timeout, the Pirates made it just a one-point game with 4:59 remaining in the second. That would be as close as Hampton would get in the first half.
