TOWSON, Md. — Clutch singles performances by several Seawolves propelled Stony Brook women's tennis to its second straight win as it took down Towson 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Tigers opened play with a pair of set wins in doubles action to secure the doubles point heading into singles play.
The tides then began to turn in the Seawolves' favor, as
Elena Lobo-Corral picked up a decisive win in match one to put Stony Brook on the board. Soon after,
Mia Palladino recorded a win in the second spot, adding another point for the Seawolves.
Paisha Douglas then won a hard-fought match in the third set, putting Stony Brook ahead 3-2. After Towson picked up another point to even things at 3-3,
Sanjana Devineni prevailed, clutching up to win the deciding match and catapulting the Seawolves into the win column for a second straight day.
